WS/ES - I was born in Karachi and grew up in Austin, where studying Film and Psychology at the University of Texas kickstarted my journey.
My career began in casting. Along with indie films and commercials, I spent nine months road-tripping all over Texas for Terrence Malick’s THE TREE OF LIFE.
After that, many years were spent producing, directing, and cutting commercials for major brands all over the world. But honestly, my love for post production is what made me a stronger writer.
2018: I moved to LA and joined UCLA’s Professional Program for TV Writing. Tapping into my own immigrant experiences, my work explored themes of family, identity, and human resilience.
2020: I secured representation and was chosen for “Writers on the Verge” -- NBC’s prestigious TV Writing Fellowship. This paved the way for staffing on a network show.
I wrote on FBI: INTERNATIONAL across four seasons for CBS and UTV and produced these episodes on location all over Europe.
